Hey,
I just recently found out about this thing called Google TV. Basiclly, google has been developing an online tv-on-demand service sot of like Hulu. It is in the beta stages right now, but signing up for the beta is very complicated and challenging. Below are instructions on how to sign up for the beta.
1. have a gmail account tha has been active or at least 30 days.
2. Sign in to your gmail account.
3. scroll down to the bottom of the gmail page.
4. on the bottom of the gmail page click on the little button that says "older version", then wait for gmail to reload.
5. in the older version of gmail, click on the settings tab in the upper right-hand corner.
6. in general settings go down the bottom of the page to a line that says "Love Google?" or something like that.
7. on that line ther should be blue link that says "Other Google Products" or something.
8. This is where it gets complicated. Right-click on the link and press "copy shortcut".
9. now go back to the main gmail page, then select "compose email, like you are going to send an email to someone.
10. Man this thing is taking forever to write. Anyway, send an email
to yourself with the link pasted in both the suject heading and the body.
11. Now go back to the main page, click on the email you just sent to yourself, and archive it.
12. Now (bear with me here) sign out and sign back in to google. ALOT!!! I'm talking hundreds or eventhousands of times!!!
(little info here, google uses a random number generator to determie how many tiesyou need to sign in, from 1 to like 50,000!!!)
13. Eventually you wil get an email from google letting you know that you are in the beta and it will give you further instructions.
